Technical Vocational and Skill Training:


EDAS provides vocational and technical training opportunity on 05 (five) trades- computer, sewing machine, electrical, dress-making & tailoring and block-boutique printing to 600 unemployed youth every year in EDAS run ‘Ava Technical Training Institute (ATTI)’ approved by BTEB. Under SEIP-BGMEA project, EDAS trained up 360 girls & women and ensured employment in RMG and industry sectors. Yearly 120 unemployed youth are being trained on garment sewing machine operating course and will be ensured job placement under this project. EDAS facilitates residential and non residential skill training to the youth, girls and women on household productivity, handicrafts and income generating activities every year. 30000 women have received training on home stead gardening under Swiss Contact-Catalyst project and 5000 girls and women on handicrafts. EDAS is providing training on handicrafts, tailoring and skill development to 3000 Rohingya refugee women and helping Rohingya refugees produce their own needs. With the scope of utilizing 88 EDAS Schools, 02 EDAS training centers, 10 Child Care Centers for Rohingya Refugee Children and 04 Orphanages’ infrastructure facilities, EDAS becomes capable of providing training opportunities to build up skilled generation in rural, marginalized, minor, ethnic and pro-poor community.
